The customer must inspect the goods upon delivery.

  • Customers may request information about these commercial advantages.

      Cleaning and Maintenance Guidelines

      Avoid:

      • Using detergents with bleach, abrasive products or direct heat.
      • Exposing materials to impacts, direct sunlight or wet environments.
      • Using carpet cleaners or cleaning machinery on artificial leather.
      • Ironing the product for any reason or placing it near direct heat sources such as electric heaters.
      • Placing hot objects such as irons or heaters on the product, even briefly.
      • Using the product in dusty or wet environments without proper cleaning after possible condensation caused by temperature changes.

        We recommend:

        • Use a white cotton cloth. Change the cloth several times during cleaning.
        • For light stains, use a soft damp cloth or neutral soap, then dry with a clean white cotton cloth, especially in summer to remove perspiration.
        • For stains, clean the affected area as soon as possible; do not allow penetration into the material.
        • Use specific solutions for difficult stains, such as balanced mixtures of water, mild detergent and ammonia.
        • Be cautious with hair care products, which may damage the material if allowed to dry without prior cleaning.
        • Test any leather-care product on a hidden area before applying directly on our materials.
        • Avoid the use of ink pens, nail polish, nail polish remover, alcohol or other potentially harmful household products near furniture to prevent spills that may cause permanent damage.

          Warnings:

          • Low-quality garment dyes may transfer colour to synthetic materials, especially light tones. These stains are not the company’s responsibility.
          • Protect the material from scratches caused by pets or strong impacts.
          • Avoid using hard brushes or vacuum cleaners with abrasive attachments.
          • Do not place newspapers or magazines on artificial leather surfaces, as inks may transfer and cause permanent damage.
          • When cleaning with a bleach solution in sanitary environments, use a mixture of 5% bleach and 95% water, ensuring complete rinsing to avoid damage.
Note: Stains caused by dye migration from clothing are not the responsibility of our company.

Important: Dye Migration in Synthetic Materials

Dye migration from garments onto synthetic materials, especially light colours, is a common challenge even for large brands and manufacturers in the sector. Some dyes may transfer irreversibly depending on their chemical composition, making removal difficult or impossible. This effect is typically observed when denim rubs against the material.

            Recommendations:

            • Inform your customers: It is essential to warn users about this risk and provide guidance to minimise potential issues.
            • Daily material care: We recommend offering end customers specific maintenance guidelines for PVC products, with particular attention to light colours.

THE COMPANY MARIANO TAFALLA E HIJOS WILL NOT FORWARD CLAIMS TO THE MANUFACTURER IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:

              1. Any material that has been bonded to a surface, as other factors intervene, such as adhesives, application methods, environmental conditions, etc.

              8. Materials destined for high-traffic (taxi, bus, train, cinema, etc.) or intensive use that have not been previously tested, through sample submission, according to sector requirements. These tests must be verified by our company and the manufacturer.
              9. Materials stained due to clothing dye transfer (i.e., denim) or stains derived from body creams or similar products are excluded from warranty. Special finishes are required to guarantee protection against this type of damage.
              10. Work carried out with any white or light-toned PVC collection used for sunloungers, sofas, Balinese-type chairs, chill-out furniture, etc., in outdoor environments 24 hours a day or for long periods. Although the material is suitable for outdoor use (marine, garden, etc.), external agents such as alcohol, creams and oils may damage it.

                Warnings:

                • Materials intended for continuous use—such as bus, train, taxi, aviation and passenger vessel interiors—must undergo an industrial engineering assessment before use. This assessment must be verified and approved with the signature of Mariano Tafalla e Hijos, S.L. and the manufacturer.
                • Our company is not responsible and will not forward claims to the manufacturer if the uses, installation tools (adhesives, contact surfaces or environmental conditions) have not been previously approved by the manufacturer.
                • If necessary, we will provide the manufacturer’s contact details so the customer may submit claims directly.
                • Our company does not cover labour costs, intermediary services, transport expenses, etc., related to reported incidents.

                INSTRUCTION FOR RETURNS:

                1. Notify our company of the issue clearly, providing invoice number and date.
                2. Indicate the quantity of affected material.
                3. Send photographs via telematic means.
                4. Our Quality Department will evaluate whether the claim should be submitted to the manufacturer.

Our company may request shipment of the affected material so the manufacturer can perform abrasion and solvent-resistance tests on an unaffected area. If results match the original catalogue specifications, it will be interpreted that the material was in perfect condition and that the issue may have been caused by improper use or maintenance, this information may be supported by a laboratory study from the manufacturer itself.

If deterioration is found to be material-related, we will replace the affected metres at no cost.

These instructions are of mandatory compliance.
